For 25 years, “Sut Bulak” CJSC has been producing cheese and various types of dairy products under the Dairy Spring and Milky Day brands. The company was founded on January 5, 1996 as a result of the implementation of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Swiss Dairy Program. As a result of collective work of consultants from distant Switzerland and specialists from Kyrgyzstan, a unique cheese factory "Sut Bulak" has been established, which has no analogues in the countries of Central Asia. Before launching the project, specialists from Kyrgyzstan undertook a six-month training in the art of cheese-making in Switzerland. Cheese making is a matter of experience and tradition. Despite the fact that we use the latest modern production equipment, all the stages of production remain the same: high-quality raw milk is standardized, rennet is added, followed by bacterial culture. The mass is gently heated, stirred and chopped to a grainy consistency. Then it is pressed, kept in brine and finally stored in special chambers... The most important thing for us is the environmental friendliness of our products, so we do not use dyes or preservatives and comply with the strictest hygiene standards in accordance with ISO and FSSC standards.

"SUT BULAK" CLOSED JOINT STOCK COMPANY

In January 1996, within the framework of the implementation of the Kyrgyz-Swiss intergovernmental dairy programme, the "Sut Bulak" Closed Joint Stock Company was established with the funds provided by the Swiss Government as the major shareholder and part of the shares were distributed (free of charge) to the farmers of Issyk-Kul district.

Investors treated the construction of the enterprise with Swiss exactitude and precision. Experts from Switzerland explored all the regions of Kyrgyzstan in search of the best place to build a modern cheese factory. The main task was to find an environmentally friendly place, similar to Switzerland in terms of natural conditions. The altitude was important, because we needed alpine meadows (1700-2500 meters above sea level) with their special motley grass. The plant was built at an altitude of 1720 meters on the outskirts of the village Jyluu-Bulak in the Tyup district of Issyk-Kul region. The production is located in the center of the Tyup district and the company maintains friendly relations not only with its own staff, but also with suppliers who are exclusively farmers with natural methods of milk production.
