For 25 years, “Sut Bulak” CJSC has been producing cheese and various types of dairy products under the Dairy Spring and Milky Day brands. The company was founded on January 5, 1996 as a result of the implementation of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Swiss Dairy Program. As a result of collective work of consultants from distant Switzerland and specialists from Kyrgyzstan, a unique cheese factory "Sut Bulak" has been established, which has no analogues in the countries of Central Asia. Before launching the project, specialists from Kyrgyzstan undertook a six-month training in the art of cheese-making in Switzerland. Cheese making is a matter of experience and tradition. Despite the fact that we use the latest modern production equipment, all the stages of production remain the same: high-quality raw milk is standardized, rennet is added, followed by bacterial culture. The mass is gently heated, stirred and chopped to a grainy consistency. Then it is pressed, kept in brine and finally stored in special chambers... The most important thing for us is the environmental friendliness of our products, so we do not use dyes or preservatives and comply with the strictest hygiene standards in accordance with ISO and FSSC standards.

"SUT BULAK" CLOSED JOINT STOCK COMPANY

In January, 1996 as a part of Kyrgyz-Swiss intergovernmental dairy program a Closed Joint-Stock Company Sut Bulak was founded. Start-up financing was provided by Swiss Government, which also became a principal shareholder. Some shares were distributed among farmers of the Issyk-Kul Oblast on a cost free basis.

Production facility was built to Swiss high standards of quality and accuracy. Specialists from Switzerland surveyed lands throughout Kyrgyzstan to locate the best construction site for a cheese factory. They were primarily aimed to discover environmentally safe location with natural conditions similar to these in Switzerland. Altitude above sea level was critical, as alpine meadows (1700-2500 m above sea level) were required with their specific motley grasses. Factory was built at 1720 m at the end of Jyluu-Bulak Village, Tyup Rayon, Issyk-Kul Oblast. Production site is located in a center of Tyup Rayon. The Company maintains friendly relationships not only with its own staff but also with the suppliers who are exclusively local farmers with close-to-nature methods of milk production.

FOODEXPO QAZAQSTAN 2019

In November 2019, Sut Bulak together with Spielhofer Swisscheese SA participated in the Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition "FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2019", where the entire range of products produced in Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland was presented. Our cheeses received the highest evaluation of the special jury, taking the 1st place in the professional tasting of food and beverages "Best FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2019" for Tilsit Classic 45% and Wiesengold cheese of Dairy Spring brand and Tête de Moine AOP, Mont Soleil and Le Cavalier from Fromages Spielhofer SA.
